TUESDAY 18 JUNE:
Security solutions for critical communications
Trevor Evans, Chair, Security and Fraud Prevention Group (SFPG), TCCA
The Security masterclass has a wide ranging agenda for attendees involved in making decisions around the implementation and operation of secure networks, who are seeking to enhance their knowledge specifically in relation to TETRA and 3GPP 4G mission critical networks. Cyber security is considered, as are technical security mechanisms available in both networks and the issues relevant to migration/interworking between the different networks.
TETRA today and tomorrow
Francesco Pasquali, Chair, TETRA Industry Group (TIG), TCCA
These sessions are designed for those with a basic knowledge of TETRA technology, wanting to better understand to the specific benefits this technology can bring to their daily operations across various market sectors.
At the same time this masterclass is also aimed at attendees who are looking to enhance their knowledge about future, medium and long term challenges of TETRA technology in terms of broadband evolution and, in particular, integration with 4G/5G technological models such as cloud computing.
Critical broadband
Philippe Agard, Chair, Broadband Industry Group, TCCA
This year's Broadband Industry Group's masterclass will include a focused presentation on mission communication (MC X ie MCPTT, MC Data, MC Video) architectures. The evolution to 5G and associated use cases will be addressed.
You will have the opportunity to learn more about the spectrum that has been used for critical communications deployments and additional spectrum bands that are being developed for migration from other services.
Insights into Malaysian APAC critical communications
Kevin Graham, Director, Australasian Critical Communications Forum
You will have the chance to understand emerging common customer requirements for broadband services, how broadband can complement existing digital radio, and what options are considered for transitioning existing or new user groups to mission critical open standard broadband.
