April's issue of Critical Communications Today as might be expected, given that it follows swiftly after both BAPCO/CCE in the UK and IWCE in the US focuses on both countries' approaches to the transition to mobile broadband. This begins with an article on in-building coverage on page 14, which is followed by a Q&A with FirstNet's Ed Parkinson on page 18, along with coverage of a roundtable that took place on the sidelines of IWCE on page 20, and our review of this year's BAPCO/CCE on page 26. The latter shed some light on the status of the Emergency Services Network (ESN) in the UK and its programme director's perspective.
The review also covers how Finland and Germany's public safety network operators are looking to make the transition to mission-critical broadband, with Germany's BDBOS looking to adopt a hybrid model. However, the focus of this month's European coverage is Italy, with a detailed look at the country's critical communications market on page 10.
