March Issue Out Now

This month's issue has a focus on mobile working, with a look at how public safety organisations can get the most from it (page 26).
A related topic is the benefits of wearable technology, such as smart watches and smart glasses, which can be used to relay information to first responders in a subtle and intuitive way, while feeding back data on their well-being (see page 30 for more details).
We also look at how the utility sector is having to evolve its networks to meet society's changing requirements (in this case, the rise of electric cars), and Philip Mason delves into this on page 16.
The issue also covers the recent ETSI MCX PlugTests event (page 9), and includes a Q&A with Erik Guttman, 3GPP TSG SA chairman (page 22), on 3GPP's work to standardise mission-critical features. Finally, don't miss James Atkinson's piece on the Latin American critical communications market on page 10.
